Holy Cross Problems!
Holy Cross needs a proper high jump pit. This is a major problem, and here's why.

| This is what a good and proper high jump pit looks like. |
This is what a good high jump pit looks like but ours is not up to date. The current high jump pit is very dusty and when you land on it will have dust fly out and you have to close your eyes when you land on it so that you don't get a bunch of dust in your eyes. As well, the foam in the high jump pit is deteriorating. This means that it is not safe for us to jump on it. So, we do not have anywhere to practice for high jump which is important because we have to practice our form when jumping with an actual high jump pit. This is why we really need a new high jump pit. We need a new high jump pit because it is very difficult to go compete in high jump and try to win, when you haven't been able to practice.
We could easily use one of our fundraisers to help pay for the high jump pit. This would be very costly, but I believe it is worth to help our track team continue to succeed. This will benefit our holy cross high jumpers immensely, and will also help to make our high jump coach, Mrs. Devoe, very happy. This is something that will last very long which will make a good thing to spend money on, because we will be able to use for many years. Down below is a video of a standard high jump pit to show what we would want for our school:
